Inauguration of the new bike lane at the beginning of the bridge of the pins in Sant Adrià de Besòs
The AMB and Sant Adrià de Besòs present a new strategic section of the Bicivia 3 axis, which connects Barcelona with this municipality and, later on, will connect Montgat with Prat de Llobregat.
On July 15, the Vice President for Mobility, Transport and Sustainability of the AMB, Antoni Poveda, and the Mayor of Sant Adrià de Besòs, Hilo Cañete, inaugurated the new bike lane built at the beginning of the Pasadores Bridge in Sant Adrià de Besòs, a strategic section for bicycle mobility in the metropolis of Barcelona.
This new section, which was inaugurated, is part of axis 3 of the Bicivia, the pedestrian network of the metropolis of Barcelona designed by the AMB. With nine main axes and more than 500 km, the Bicivia will make it possible to cross the territory from north to south and from west to east.
Infrastructure and increased daily use of bicycles
Improved metropolitan connections for bicycles and other means of transport, such as personal mobility vehicles, have made it possible to increase their daily use, as recent analyses have shown.
