New lighting in Sharjah
The "Parchment" monument in Sharjah, designed by British artist Gerry Judah, is a contemporary interpretation of ancient Arabic scrolls, taking the form of a single spiral sculpture that rises toward the sky.
Designed by Foster + Partners, the “House of Wisdom” spans 12,000 square meters. The House of Wisdom is Sharjah’s new flagship cultural center. It was commissioned in honor of Sharjah’s designation as the 2019 UNESCO World Book Capital and stands as a living legacy of the promises made at that time: to continue promoting reading and facilitating access to knowledge for all members of society, and, in doing so, to become a progressive society that serves as a catalyst for harmonious coexistence.
The area near the "Scroll Monument" and "House of Wisdom" in Sharjah has recently been upgraded with SALVI FLIT luminaires and poles, replacing the existing SHP luminaires, making it one of the best examples of sustainable lighting at this iconic location in the Emirates.
