International Day of Light 2021

International Day of Light on May 16 is a global initiative that provides an annual focal point for continuing to appreciate light and the role it plays in science, culture and art, education and sustainable development, and in fields as diverse as medicine, communications and energy. The broad scope of light allows many different sectors of society around the world to participate in activities that demonstrate how science, technology, art and culture can contribute to achieving UNESCO's goals of education, equality and peace.

This year's International Day of Light message - Trust Science - encourages both scientists and the public to sign and support a statement affirming their confidence in science and the importance of public trust in the scientific process.

For this reason, Salvi Lighting signs the "Trust Science" pledge. Supporters of science, including educators, scientists, engineers, healthcare professionals, Nobel laureates, science enthusiasts, organizations, students and individuals from around the world, come together to raise awareness of the importance of light science and technology in areas such as communications, sustainable development, climate action and healthcare.
